1. LOO BALLOON
Write ‘Happy April Fool’s Day’ on a helium balloon, place it under the toilet seat and watch your family’s surprise when they lift the lid and it floats out.
2. CHOC-BROC POPS
Ask an adult to help you melt chocolate in the microwave. Chop broccoli into small pieces, stick it on top of lolly pop sticks, smother in melted chocolate and serve. Genius!
3. LUNCH BUG
Place a fake bug in your sibling’s lunch box –with a note saying, ‘Happy April Fool’s Day’. But remind them it’s safe to eat their lunch so that they don’t go hungry.
4. THE FRIDGE HAS EYES
Stick googly eyes on everything in the fridge -whoever opens it won’t believe their eyes!
5. FAKE CAKE
Cover a clean sponge with chocolate icing, add cake decorations and surprise guests. But don’t let eat it!
6. CLING IT
Prank Dad – cover the bathroom soap, shampoo or shower gel lid with cling film and listen out for his gruntled responses.

Trick friends by sprinkling plain doughnuts with baking powder instead of sugar.
8. MARSHMALLOW TREE
A fun activity on a sunny day – half an hour before your guests arrive, pick a tree in the garden, skewer marshmallows onto the branches and ta-da! It’s a marshmallow tree – or least they’ll think it is!
9. EYE SEE YOU
Freeze plastic eyeballs or small plastic bugs in an ice cube tray for guests drinks. Think they’ll see it?

Get up super early, turn small objects in the living room upside down – then watch mum's and dad's faces when they see the house topsy-turvy!
