Every park, street and woodland has a family of tree giants, and it’s your job to measure them and find the king of the trees!
First, find a tree you think is a tree giant. Face away from the tree and look upside down between your legs. Then move forwards or backwards until you can see the top of the tree.
You can now stand up straight again and count how many steps it is to the tree trunk. That's how tall the tree giant is. Can you find one that’s even taller?
You can discover more tree adventures on the Woodland Trust's Nature Detectives website. Thanks to them for this activity.
