Give me five

What if we told you that you could increase your knowledge of nature and the world around you in five simple steps? Well, it really is as easy as one, two, three, four, five. And all you need is a keen pair of eyes.

Let’s get started. First, pick a category and choose five things that fit into that category. For example, try to find and name five different types of trees, five different of animals, five different types of insects or five types of flowers. Then draw, write down or take pictures and look them up online to find out some interesting facts about them. We guarantee you’ll learn all sorts of things about nature and the world, like identifying trees or how to identify a flower in just a few hours. And that’s amazing.

If you need help identifying the flowers or plants that you find, visit Botanical Key  A resource provided by the Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland.
