Leaf & plant snap
The Wildlife Trust has come up with a clever new way to play snap that gets us out and about for a rummage in the woods.
Grab yourself a bag and collect a bunch of fallen autumn leaves from trees, plants, bushes and flowers.
When your bag is full, you should have enough for a great game of snap. Empty out the bag on a table or floor at home and split your haul with a friend. Then, let the games begin.
Take turns to lay down a leaf. Now match a leaf. When you spot two from the same type of tree, that’s a snap! How many different types of leaves did you find? See if you can match them up using The Wildlife Trusts’ online Species Explorer.
