Microscopic animal walk

Nature activities for kids are so much fun! Animals and insects come in all shapes and sizes. And sometimes, they’re hiding where you least expect them.

To find the really tiny ones, grab a magnifying glass, head outside and find a fallen tree, patch of grass or turn over a pebble or stone. Get down on your hands and knees and see what you can find. Move very slowly, pretend you are a tiny creature, making its way through a few of the animal habitats. What do you notice that you don't normally see?

Now, to help you remember the new animals you’ve found, try drawing them when you get home. You could even create your own microscopic animal scrapbook.
