Children making a bird dinner party

Bird Dinner Party

During certain seasons, birds have a more limited menu available to them. Spring provides plenty of seeds and berries, whereas winter is a little stingy on the portions. That’s why the colder months are the perfect time to host a bird dinner party.

All you need to do is set out some seeds in a bird feeder, or even a plate on your balcony, and watch who comes by for a nibble. Read up how to make a bird feeder.

How many different types of birds can you spot? You could even try to draw them or snap a photo on your phone and share it with your friends. To help you identify each bird, take a look at the British Birds section of the RSPB website.
