Squiggle Cookies in San Francisco

Thinking of San Francisco conjures up images of the Golden Gate Bridge, brightly-coloured cable cars, and the infamous hairpin turns of Lombard Street. But the to-and-fro of this distinctly steep road isn't the only thing in San Francisco that can lay claim to such extreme twisting and turning.

Squiggle cookies, as Samantha calls them, are her favourite thing to bake with her mother. The pair have been cooking together since Samantha was six. Back then she started by cutting the dough into its many exciting shapes, and now she is squiggle-and-sprinkler extraordinaire. Each cookie is unique, as Samantha decorates them specifically for her friends and family.

It's such a lovely moment when you see how much this means to mum!
