Pssst. Ever heard or Parkour? It’s the art of free-running which involves jumping, sliding and finding ways over, under and around obstacles without stopping.
Usually, this is a city sport, but lots of people are now discovering that woods and parks are the perfect place for a spot of Parkour.
The woodland areas around us are full of natural obstacles
- fallen branches
- tree stumps
- and mounds of earth
to leap over or roll under.
The ground is also much softer than concrete thanks to the natural cushion and springy texture of grass, making parkour for kids, or beginners, the perfect activity if you want to avoid any bumps or bruises along the way.
